How to articulate this life-changing experience? Not sure if I'll ever truly be able to but I'll try over the coming days.
#1: where has Thai Massage been my whole life? I have never experienced such intelligent, deeply healing bodywork as this, and David's approach to teaching was meditative, intuitive, empowering, and extremely transformational. This is northern style, but with David's artistry woven into slow-motion, heart-lead, breath-guided movements. You haven't experienced Thai Massage until you've experienced this ... I can't wait to share this once I'm home!
#2: the humans I had the privilege of retreating with have touched my heart and alchemized my own healing in ways I can't articulate yet. From the unapologetic embodiment of feminine beauty,
to soul-piercing authenticity, to joy, healing, curiosity, freedom, growth, "CUT"-ting humor, reverence, irreverence, sensuality, playfulness, aliveness, awakening ... bodyworkers are a sweet and rare breed. I haven't felt this much love in a long, long time.
#3: all the cells in my body exploded with the awe and beauty that surrounded me literally every day. The river was pulsing with life, the jungle never slept, the stars, all of it, expanded horizons inside and out.
#4: teaching yoga, pranayama and meditation each morning to this group of mindfulness & somatic practitioners, in this expansive place as the sun rose, with calls of birds and monkeys and insects and things I couldn't identify -- a harmonic melody singing as I spoke, in the magic awakening energy of the aliveness of the jungle, was an absolutely once-in-a-lifetime experience that cracked me open as a yoga teacher and seeped deeply into my bones. I am changed.
#5: reconnecting with soul-family, I know we have known each other before.
#6: the world needs more bubbles (thank you, Stephanie, for that incredible teaching!)
#7: I will never be the same.
