I am so happy to share that I have a very special guest coming to Resonant Yoga at Una Vida on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:15pm.
As a lover of sharing resonant sounds and vibrations, I am absolutely in my element teaching gentle, anatomically-precise yoga while also playing the Tibetan bowls, using tuning forks, singing, and sharing PEMF therapy. The challenge I've encountered, however, is that I can't do everything all at once. I find it so helpful and instructive to offer gentle hands-on assists in the postures, and I just couldn't manage playing the singing bowls, teaching, and offering a gentle shoulder-press (for example) at the same time.
Enter Ann Alves, a very dear new friend of mine who I'm quite certain is a soul sister from a past lifetime. Ann doesn't have formal voice training but you'd never know it! She has sung in and guided medicine circles around the world including in Peru, Costa Rica and more, and she has an incredibly soulful, astonishingly beautiful voice. Ann also has some beautiful instruments including drums, singing bowls and more, and after one playful jam session at my place, I begged her to come to Resonant Yoga to share her healing sounds.
She obliged.
Ann brought her instruments to class last Tuesday and played her crystal bowls, tibetan bowls, chimes, and drums. She shared her voice, and the feedback from the yoga participants was fabulous. "Stunning," "incredibly healing," "so deep" are just some of the phrases people used to describe the yoga and sound experience.
Yoga participants got extra attention from me, as I could focus on placing sandbags for breathwork biofeedback, offering gentle cervical traction and positional assists, and tucking everyone into the most restorative and nourishing postures.
This kind of collaboration has been a dream of mine for awhile and it's so rewarding to see it come to fruition! Resonant Yoga is growing in the most beautiful way.
Ann and I are so excited to be collaborating and to be able to share this amazing experience again. You can join us in Niwot at Una Vida studio (or online via Zoom!) any Tuesday evening. Hope you can make it sometime.
PLEASE NOTE: Una Vida is now offering various specials that make classes even more accessible and enticing, so be sure to check them out! Your first class at the studio is free.
